The High Velocity Whip (HVW)
is a spring loaded arcing horn providing substantially greater
interruption of line charging currents than traditional or enhanced horn
designs. Recently tested at NEETRAC, the HVW outperformed all other arcing
horns in head to head competition. The HVW is now available for all SEECO
group operated switches, including side-break and center Vee style
switches. Retro-fit kits for other brands and switch styles will be
available in mid 2006. Contact the factory for additional details. |

The Current and Voltage Detection Board (CVD) provides local detection of
fault events in conjunction with motor operated pole-top switches,
enabling local automatic or remotely controlled sectionalizing and fault
isolation. In automatic mode, the CVD board will initiate motor
operation of the associated switch (open or close) after recognition of a
valid fault event. In remote mode, the fault event triggers a
contact closure through an RTU and operation of the switch is initiated
remotely at the discretion of utility personnel. The CVD board
utilizes current and voltage inputs provides by separate
current and voltage
sensors, instrument transformers or similar devices. |

The Auto Sectionalizing Board (ASB) provides simple, user configurable
control logic for the independent and automatic operation of motor
operated pole top switches. The ASB will initiate motor operation of
the associated switch (open or close) based on the presence or absence of
voltage, with or without time delay. Voltage indication is provided
by a separate voltage sensor, potential
transformer or similar device. |

Here we grow again!
Construction was completed in late 2003 and our new manufacturing facility
(plant 2) entered service in early 2004.
This new facility adds approximately 12,000 additional square feet of
assembly space to support continued growth in motor operator, interrupter
and sensor sales and production. In addition, this facility will
provide much needed room for our growing product development and testing
activities. |
